Introduction:
At amiqo, our mission is to empower people to initiate and engage in real-life conversations and activities around shared interests. We believe that a supportive, welcoming community is essential to achieving this goal. The following Content Moderation Policy outlines the standards we apply to user-generated content—such as interests, activity titles, profiles, event descriptions, and messages—to maintain a positive, inclusive environment.

Scope:
These guidelines apply to all content posted or shared within the amiqo platform, including but not limited to:

  • Profile information (name, pronouns, profile images, interests)
  • Activity and event titles, descriptions, polls, and comments
  • Messages (one-on-one and group chats)
  • Any linked or referenced content (shared URLs, images, etc.)

Core Principles:

  1. Respect: Users should treat one another with dignity and kindness.
  2. Inclusivity: We welcome people from all backgrounds. Content should not marginalize or exclude anyone based on inherent attributes or chosen identities.
  3. Constructive Engagement: Communication should encourage positive, growth-oriented interactions, even when users disagree.

Prohibited Content:
To keep amiqo a safe and empowering community, the following types of content are not allowed:

    1. Hate Speech & Discrimination:
      • Slurs, derogatory language, or hateful stereotypes directed at a person or group based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or other characteristics protected by law.
      • Glorification of hate groups or hateful ideologies.
    2. Harassment & Bullying:

    4. Sexually Explicit & Adult Content:
      • Pornographic or obscene imagery or descriptions.
      • Content involving sexual activities that are illegal, non-consensual, or exploitative, including sexual content involving minors.

      • Content that promotes illegal activities or encourages others to engage in them.
      • Unauthorized disclosure of private or personally identifying information about individuals (doxxing).
    8. Spam & Promotional Content:
      • Unsolicited or overly repetitive promotion of products, services, or external links not related to the community’s interests or goals.
      • Automated or bot-driven content that disrupts normal platform use.
  • Deepfakes and Manipulated Media:
      • Sharing manipulated media, including deepfakes, intended to deceive, misinform, or harm others. Content that uses manipulated media for satire or parody must clearly indicate its nature to avoid misunderstanding.

    Enforcement Measures:

    • Content Removal: Moderators may remove any content that violates these guidelines.
    • Warnings & Suspensions: Users who violate these policies may receive a warning. Repeated or severe offenses may result in temporary suspension or permanent account removal.
    • User Reporting: Users are encouraged to report violations they encounter. Our moderation team will review reports promptly and take action as necessary.
    • Appeals Process: Users may appeal moderation decisions if they believe an error has been made. Our support team will review appeals and provide a timely, impartial resolution.

    Continuous Improvement:
We will periodically update these guidelines as we learn from community feedback, evolving user behaviors, and changing social norms. Our goal is to continuously refine the policy to support a healthy, positive environment that aligns with amiqo’s core mission and values.
